Jim retired from the railroad after 37 years having experience in managing people in an industrial setting in the areas of Safety, local, area and terminal Operations, Management Development, Human Resources and Labor Relations. He has written and handled labor/management appeals and arbitration before Special and Public Law Boards as well as the National Mediation Board. He understands that there are both sides to every issue and the importance of everyone being heard and understood. In this manner he has mediated and settled many cases and issues between parties.
He is an elected public official who understands the importance of mediating with all parties in creating win-win situations. Jim also serves as an Elder at the church he attends and has worked with churches, members and leaders in resolving conflicts. Getting to the root of the issues requires facilitation, listening, and collaborative interaction among everyone concerned.
